Faculty of Sport with its more than 50-years tradition in the university education, research and organization of international congresses employs internationally recognized professors from the fields of physical education, sports training, sport recreation and kinesiology. More than 3.000 undergraduate and postgraduate students graduated on faculty university programme in past.
University of Ljubljana is an institution with a very rich tradition. It was established in 1919 on the foundations of a long-established pedagogical tradition. It is a very large university, with more than 60.000 undergraduate and postgraduate students studying in over 158 different undergraduate and 117 postgraduate study programs. It employs approximately 5.700 higher education teachers, researchers, assistants and administrative staff in 22 faculties, 2 academies and 1 university college. The central building, all three academies and a host of faculties are located in the centre. Some of the most recent and modern buildings were constructed in the outskirts of Ljubljana, giving the university and its students a ubiquitous presence in the city.
